FAQ's

I'm always happy to chat about ideas, and answer your questions.

The below FAQ's might help, but please do get in touch for further info.

  • Who makes your garments, and where are they made?
Each item is cut, sewn, and wrapped by Ella in her Falmouth studio. Her fabric is sourced from two trusted ethical suppliers, and her buttons are 3D printed in Cornwall from recycled plastics.
  • How do I know items will fit me?
On each product listing there is an image with specific garment measurements for each size and style. I suggest measuring against garments you already have, to see how it'll compare and choose the right fit for you. Note that my styles are often a relaxed, oversized fit. Any queries, just get in touch.
  • When will I receive my order?
Garments are made to order, unless specified otherwise. Once ordered, there is a lead time of 1-4 weeks. Your order will be shipped within this time, via Royal Mail's Signed For service, which often takes a day or two for UK orders.
  • Is there an extra charge for custom orders?
There is no extra charge for small design tweaks, making garments from your own fabric, or custom orders of previous styles now out of stock. For larger style adjustments which involve pattern cutting, a small charge will be quoted before going ahead, depending on the nature of the design.
  • Do you ship internationally?
Yes, if your country isn't an option at checkout, please let me know and I'll add it for you. Please note any costs once garments have been shipped, such as customs taxes, are the customer's own.
  • Can I return an item?
Each item is made to order just for you, which is a much more efficient and less wasteful system than holding stock. This means I won't take returns, or offer refunds unless faulty. Please check the size guide and make any enquiries with me before purchasing. I carefully make and check each item myself from start to finish, but if you do have an issue, please get in touch and I'll help in every way I can.
  • How do I care for my garment?
Natural fabrics are low maintenance, and getting into the habit of airing them now and again, instead of constantly washing them, improves their longevity and is better for the environment. That said, items will be absolutely fine on a 30 degree wash with similar colours. Leave to dry naturally on an airer, and iron inside out if needed.
  • Can I visit the studio and buy directly?
My studio is open by appointment only, so just get in touch to arrange a visit. Any pre-made samples tend to leave the studio quickly, and head to stockists Studio Dor, and Raine - where you can try them on and purchase directly. To see fabrics, have a fitting, or chat through ideas, I'd love to welcome you to my studio.
